Question:

I am 15 years old. Since last year I have been having less menstrual blood and I am feeling much laziness. I like to lie down all the time. My friend says that uterus doesn't clean well therefore; laziness develops. Whether it would happen due to the deficiency of any hormone? What should I do?

Answer:

If with less menstrual blood, there are also laziness feelings, then most probably there would be deficiency of thyroid hormone or there could be anemia. Less menstrual volume doesn't mean that uterus is not getting properly cleaned. Whether thyroid function is normal or not, it could be assessed by endocrinologist. Consult the doctor of medical college in your city and take advice from her. Get this test done, also get blood test done in order to confirm about anemia. The better treatment would be initiated after knowing about the exact nature of the problem.
