Question:

Please let us know whether tumor can grow in reproductive organs or not? If yes then which type of cancer can grow in these organs? What are the signs and symptoms of cancer?

Answer:

Tumor can develop in different parts of female reproductive system, like ovary, neck or cervix, vagina, fallopian tubes etc.  There are two types of tumor, benign which are not cancers like tumor of uterus called as Fibro-adenoma etc. The tumors of ovaries are also benign. Vagina may also have Fibro-adenoma and vaginal cysts. Other parts of reproductive system may have malignant tumors which are called as cancer. Cancer usually develops during the age of 20-35 years. If there would be extra-ordinary discharge from vagina or there would be blood tinged discharge then the Gynecologist should be consulted at prompt. Not all tumors could be cancers, however; proper investigation is mandatory.
